Frequently Asked Questions

• Will I have to stay overnight?

  No. Once your procedure is complete and the patient has had ample time to recover they will be discharged to go home. Our patients go home the same day as surgery.

• Should I take my usual medications?

  Your physician will let you know if any of your medications should be stopped prior to your surgery. Please call your physician with any questions. If you use an inhaler, please bring it the day of your procedure.

• Should I bathe and wash my hair before leaving home?

  Yes. You can take a shower and bathe. Please refrain from applying body lotions, deodorants  or perfumes.

• Should I bring my special needs equipment?

  Yes. Please bring walkers, crutches, assistive devices, hearing aids, etc.

• Where do I go when I get there?

  Once you arrive please park in our convenient lot and proceed to the front desk for check in.

• How long will I have to wait for surgery?

  We ask patients to arrive 1 hour prior to their scheduled surgery time. This allows our highly skilled team to answer any questions and to make sure you are properly prepared for surgery.

• Does the person bringing me have to stay at the surgery center the entire time?

  Yes. A responsible adult over 18 years old needs to remain at the facility from check-in through until the surgeon can speak to them following your procedure. Your surgeon may need to explain any special instructions immediately after your surgery.

• Will my family member or friend have a place to stay while I am in surgery?

  Yes. They will wait in our comfortable reception area where there is a tv and drinks available.
